Shipston has undergone massive expansion relative to its size in the past ten years and is already underserved by all the necessary amenities: Emergency Services, education facilities (no Sixth Form), and transport links are poor. Flooding is a significant problem, not only on the areas close to the river but also on the surrounding hills. The recent developments have done nothing to address this and a further development on this town would substantially alter its character and livability.
