SG17 should NOT be considered as a Strategic Growth location. It is remote from other growth areas and has none of the characteristics considered as necessary by the SWLP. It has no rail service adjacent and very limited bus connections to rail stations at Banbury, Moreton and Stratford. It is not close to any transport corridors such as the M40 and A46. Its economic future will rely on tourism and the associated special landscape areas of the Cotswolds and Feldons. As such these assets to its future must be carefully protected and not overdeveloped.
