SG19 would be remote from any significant employment options and therefore require trips through the town to access employment and sustainable transport commuting to other major employment centres. It also joins up Tiddington and Alveston villages which is against the Neighbourhood Plan and previous agreements.
SuA already suffers major transport congestion as it is constrained by the historic layout of the town. The transport assessment supporting this site suggests increased bus services could provide connectivity, however in a congested road system, these are unreliable and unlikely to be acceptable by many.
