The farmland from the railway up to Pathlow contains Brown Hares which are Protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, 1981 also Priority Species in UK Post-2010 Biodiversity Framework. The area has barns where various species of protected bats are found that feed in the surrounding farmland. Barn Owl, a protected species are found here. Flooding will be caused by the development. Local drainage and low railway bridges already flood regularly. Traffic chaos during and after completion. 15k or more extra cars on roads already not coping. Golden Cross crossroads very dangerous already no footpath on Salters for children.
