Development and urbanisation on this scale will result in significant harm to this small historic town and have an adverse impact on its residents and visitors.
Increased traffic on country roads with associated pollution, reliance on the private car, plus the river crossing by a narrow bridge will have a negative impact on the health and wellbeing of the people in Shipston and the surrounding villages and on ambitions to achieve net zero.
This extensive development may exacerbate existing problems with drainage and sewage that persist following the approximately 20% growth that has taken place here in recent years.
