I strongly object to the proposed A1 housing development in Henley-in-Arden, particularly over Mockley Wood, due to legal, environmental, and infrastructure concerns. The area is home to Great Crested Newts, a protected species under UK law, making development legally challenging and financially unviable, as mitigation measures cost millions of pounds. Additionally, ancient trees listed on the Ancient Tree Register would be lost, violating conservation laws. The road network, including Gentleman’s Lane and Forde Hall Lane, is inadequate, and local schools and healthcare are already under strain. This unsustainable, costly, and damaging proposal must be firmly rejected.
