The high school is over-subscribed and does not have a sixth form. The closest schools are in Chipping Campden and Stratford-upon-Avon. Additionally, health care and other essential services are currently inadequate for the local population.

Job opportunities in the area are scarce and decreasing. There are long distances to major employment centers and larger towns.
