Suggested development around Fell Mill Lane would be monumentally visually detrimental to the setting of Shipston and the surrounding countryside. Whereas development around the top of Tillman's Lane area does not go far enough and a road linking the Darlingscott Road and A3400 would accommodate more housing and crucially provide a badly needed link to the industrial estate. Any new development should plan for a town park and avoid creating further small individual play areas. New housing is inevitable, but it needs to be delivered with tangible town benefits and not just policy box ticking. Attached is my own proposal.
