William Davis Limited support the identification of SG17 as a SGL. Development of at least part of SG17 should be carried forward to the Publication version of the SWLP, reflecting Shipston-on-Stour’s role in supporting the Spatial Growth Strategy. SG17 performs well in the Sustainability Appraisal. Land west of Shipston-on-Stour including Land at Furze Hull Road is the least constrained and thus the most suitable area of the town for growth. Land at Furze Hill Road be included as an allocation in the SWLP for circa 120 dwellings in isolation, or as part of a comprehensive extension to Shipston-on-Stour.
