The destruction of 403ha of green belt land would irreparably damage the character of the parish and result in the permanent loss of natural habitat, valuable farmland and biodiversity.
The site contains the canal conservation area, an important wildlife habitat, and borders ancient woodlands.
The site provides residents of Warwick and Leamington with leisure, recreation, and the health benefits of exercise.
Current road and rail connectivity is grossly insufficient for a development of this scale, the cost associated with infrastructure development, and the environmental damage it would cause, make this site unsustainable.
