I am extremely concerned to find out that there are plans to build a housing estate so close to the Welcombe Hills. The loss of this land to building will hugely impact the local wildlife including protected bats, barn owls butterflies etc. This is a beautiful area which brings great benefits to the town of Stratford and provides much needed open green space for local residents and visitors to the area. The building will inevitably cause additional flood risks to existing houses and any new buildings. More housing will negatively impact the local infrastructure, increase traffic and create more pollution.
