Shipston has had a significant increase in development of housing recently, and is already overstretched with its services and does not have infrastructure for more development, i.e. doctors, schools, shops etc.. Also we are situated the furthest away from main road links such as M40 and have no rail links and a very limited bus service. Other areas indicated are closer to main transport links. 3000 homes would bring at least 4000 more cars into Shipston which would have to travel to the transport links ie train stations, motorways etc to get to work which is not environmentally friendly.
