Green belt land should be protected. No exceptional circumstances to justify removal of green belt in accordance with NPPF. Other sites far more suitable. Loss of productive farmland. Not 20-minute neighbourhood. Reduces access to countryside. Selection of sites should not be influenced by Developers preference for easy & cheap to develop sites. Harm to historic landscape & setting. Of 24 Spatial Growth areas identified in the plan, 12 are non-green belt land, 2 are mixed designation, and 10 are entirely green belt. The area required to meet South Warwickshire’s housing needs can be fulfilled without taking any green belt.
