SG17 is completely ill-suited for strategic growth; Shipston-on-stour is a rural, historic town which doesn't have the infrastructure or accessibility to take the proposed 3000+ houses. The proposed fell mill lane sites, 148 and 747, represent sacred countryside and green space for walkers, bisected by flood zones and accessed by two single lane bridges and single track roads which simply would not cope with the extra traffic. The high school is oversubscribed with no sixth form. Very little employment is to be found in the town, no train station and limited buses & healthcare.
