I am opposed to the proposed growth for the following reasons -
1) Green belt land is protected for a reason and alternative sites must be sought. They serve to protect urban sprawl and maintain the characteristics of our town.
2) Transport links are already stretched and additional building in this area would acerbate that, leading to increased noise and air pollution.
3) The agricultural land is ALC grade and should be protected as a means of sustainable food production.
4) Green belt land is essential in maintaining biodiversity and contributes to mental and physical well being.
