Summary

Development of the suggested scale would swamp and be totally out of character for a semi-rural village of 500 households like Hockley Heath. It would exacerbate exisiting inadequacies and lead to significant problems in terms of infrastructure -health impacts, utilities, schools, leisure etc-, cause harm to designated heritage assets, increase significantly road congestion and degrade the separation of Hockley Heath and surrounding villages by increasing urban sprawl.

Proposals must be considered with and informed by SBMC proposals which are emerging and to make final decisions in a vacuum is premature.
