The proposed development would add 2,875 households, massively damaging the character of this semi rural village. The 2021 Census gives Warwickshire an average household density of 2.36. If this value is applied to the 2,875 proposed additional households that would represent a population increase of 6,785, being a massive 357% increase on the 2021 Census population. For those new residents without a vehicle the closest railway station is Dorridge, over 2 miles away. Access to Dorridge from the proposed SG 24 development is via the twisty and narrow B4101. Bus transport is poor at the moment.
