We believe that the proposed development faces significant challenges, including the irreversible loss of agricultural land and Green Belt, threatening food security and altering the region's character. Existing local infrastructure, particularly water, drainage, power, and healthcare, is ill-equipped to handle the increased population, raising concerns about flooding, hospital capacity, and overall health impacts. Connectivity issues, centered on the viability of Hatton Station and the strain on local roads, remain unresolved. Furthermore, the project would result in substantial ecological damage, including habitat destruction and increased pollution, and the loss of vital recreational rural spaces.
