Proposed number of homes is excessive on existing green belt and would substantially alter the character of our historically significant village by turning into a large town. Wilmcote is a small village with a historical link to Shakespeare and part of the local tourist attractions. The proposal would fundamentally and negatively alter the look and appeal of this important Shakespearean village. The local transport networks (A46/A3400) would not cope with significant extra traffic. Rail networks are insufficient to cope with additional residents (Wilmcote /Bearly stations have little parking capacity). Proposed expansion and consequential overcrowding means long term misery for residents.
