SG17 is inappropriate as a strategic growth location. No railway station, miles from employment hubs, motorways, major towns, 6th form school. Poor public transport increases car dependency on single track grade 2 bridges, single track roads and houses would be more than 20 min walk from essential amenities. Development would increase flooding, reduce green spaces, ruin the local environment, heritage and rural character irretrievably. It already has insufficient infrastructure for recent 20% increase in population and insufficient employment meaning people travel long distances for work. Some sites proposed (148, 747) are in flood zones, Conservation, 3km buffer and Restraint areas.
