All the sites identified in Long Itchington sit outside the Built Up Area Boundary and are not suitable for development as they would compromise the very nature of the village and in many instances would exacerbate flooding.
In particular sites 334, 335, 336, 691 and 503 would result in a joining up of Long Itchington to Southam. Leaving sites in the SWLP serves to allow developers to act opportunistically putting housing in unsuitable locations and not where it is needed.
