The approach in the HELAA to assessing potential sites for strategic employment land is flawed. It also needs to be reconsidered comprehensively to take into account new policy and guidance around Grey Belt. More appropriately applied a site selection methodology for strategic employment land would consider positively the land promoted south east of Junction 3 of the M42 which is eminently suitable and immediately deliverable for strategic employment development, meeting a specific requirement not otherwise addressed, and offering significant benefits.
