There is no need to build on high quality green belt land that contributes to residents' wellbeing, produces sustainable food, supports local biodiversity and prevents encroachment and loss of identity to local villages when there is more than enough sites identified in the Local Plan to build all and more of homes needed on land that is not green belt and less high quality farmland. It will also lead to more car congestion in town with major shopping destinations being south of the river.
