The need for new housing is acknowledged, but building in these areas will worsen existing traffic congestion, particularly as employment hubs and transport links are primarily to the south. If development proceeds, it must prioritize high-density housing (townhouses, apartments) with essential amenities: schools, GPs, supermarkets (not convenience stores), and transport hubs. Crucially, existing public footpaths must be preserved.
