The proposed development on green belt land at this scale is unnecessary and inappropriate. The sites are too distant from any existing village to benefit from existing infrastructure so additional road capacity, rail services, cycles lanes etc will need to be built in advance of the development to ensure a sustainable growth area for the region.

Local traffic levels are already at capacity during peak hours, and this project will exacerbate the existing congestion.

Also, local schools, the general practice, and the hospital are already operating at full capacity.
