The destruction of the UK's General Aviation airfields is a dreadful mistake and failure of long term planning and industrial strategy.
It is clear that multi rota drones transporting goods across the whole of the nations airspace in any direction is both an accident waiting to happen and technically difficult. However, Electric and other alternative fueled fixed wing aircraft and drones could have a great future, but they need tarmac runways. To dig them all up for other projects will probably lead to them all needed to be replaced. Save Wellesbourne Airfield!
