The proposed building of new homes in the area of Wilmcote and Bearley is unsuitable for the following reasons:
- results in major urbanisation of the green belt; in direct contradiction to the purpose of green belt protection
- destroying the historic character of two villages; of which Wilmcote hosts a key historic sight of international repute (Mary Arden Farm)
- creation of a massive resident population reliant on a commute to major cities (due to limited local employment) which places unsupportable strain on the environment and road/rail infrastructure
