The site is wholly unsuited for development of this size and density due to the lack of infrastructure, amenities, limitations to utilities services provision, and the land’s contribution to the green belt. In addition, a development of this size and density would be completely out of keeping with the existing village and area. Given the suitability of various other proposed settlements under the measures assessed within the local plan process, I am of the view that alternative sites provide significantly more appropriate and realistic options for consideration of a new settlement.
