Great how many Travelodge's do you wish to build in the Town Centres then ?
Kenilworth already has a large hotel, and lots of guest houses do we need anymore ?

Tourism is fundamentally important to the District's economy. This is not just about development, it is also about proactive marketing and promotion. The historic town centres are a major draw, but we lack distinctive town centre accommodation. I would support a policy which seeks to protect a reduction in town centre accommodation, unless it can be proven that it is genuinely no longer viable, or of inadequate quality.

Accommodation is adequate. Extra housing / employment land will destroy existing attractive approaches into Warwick and Leamington.

We need to preserve existing accomodation whenever possible and encourage new build. Tourism is vital for the District.

Support for improving the quality of facilities at the smaller hotels in the towns would ensure more over-night visitors.

The suggestion that lack of overnight accommodation limits overnight stays is pure speculation. The central location and good transport links have made the area very easy to reach as a day trip destination. Lack of demand has resulted in the closure of more than one Leamington hotel since the M40 was opened.

Another option is to encourage the building of a limited number of small guest houses where there is a lack of local bed and breakfast accommodation in and around villages and other rural areas.

It never has! It does not employ highly skilled professionals, or take into consideration local business ideas to assist the economy.
