So long as the development matches the proposal, have no criticism, could greatly improve this part of Leamington and provide needed housing for the local community.

Lifetime accessible homes, heat pumps, south facing windows, outside space for all.

A sensible well thought out option which should receive serious consideration particularly with the offer of a new school. Adequately designed balancing ponds should allay any fears of flooding. Acceptance of this site and other supplementary sites offered would distribute the housing allocation and its impact on the infrastructure more fairly over a much larger area unlike the current proposals which concentrate the majority of the allocation and its problems in the Heathcote area

I would be concerned about the amount of extra traffic that this would filter through Leaminton. It is also liable to flood and feels the wrong place to plonk a big housing estate on the edge of the town where everyone would gravitate towards the centre and overburden local infrastructures.

This development will drastically change the countryside and currently quiet Millpool Meadows housing estate. St Fremund Way will become a busy through road, many children & families will use this road for access to the school, both by car and on foot. This road is not designed for this type of use, it is not big enough and it will become dangerous for residents here and our children. Our housing will be devalued by this development, we strongly oppose it!

This area has already had too much development and I hope and expect that the Council
would not deprive local children of an improving school on their doorstep. Surely greener to have them walk to school (as my daughter does) rather than have parents drive them to schools further afield .In addition, too many schools have lost their playing fields to developers thus
contributing to childhood obesity.
Any more building on the prime farming land in this area is to be strongly resisted particularly as the Government has publicly stated that the nation needs to grow more food.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

We object due to the projected increase in volume of traffic to our road which does not have the holding capacity of a large road.

There are already a large number of parked cars on the street due to the limited off street car parking available to householders, hence further making St Fremund Way a road not suitable for high volumes of traffic.

Increased noise / traffic / pollution would not be welcome.

Testun llawn:

I, and my family, object to the plans regarding the development of Land at Campion School / South Sydenham for the following reasons:

- We moved to our current location to enjoy a quiet neighbourhood
- Making St Fremund Way a through road would increase traffic / noise / pollution in the immediate area around our house which we find very unwelcome
- There is already inadequate parking space for families with two cars and therefore a large number of cars are already parked on the street. Making this road a through-road would increase speed and traffic to a dangerous level

For these reasons, we feel very strongly against the proposed plans. Especially as they include plans to increase the traffic flow and general traffic volumes through a road which we feel was built with a low-capacity level of traffic in mind (i.e. its current capacity).

This would adversely affect the entire neighbourhood and make the area more dangerous for children and the elderly.

Isupport the development of land at Campion School/South of Leamington because I believe that this area would benefit by having more houses in it and in turn this would increase growth of the local businesses .A new school in this area would also be an added bonus as with being a good school it is continually growing in numbers of new entrants to the school and needs the exta room to accommodate this properly.

South Leamington needs a school that can meet the needs of the community. Campion School is old and outdated and is the only school not to have had investment. Rebuilding the school alongside new housing will ensure that both current and new residents will have access to an improving school with up to date facilitites. As the school will have to be rebuilt anyway, it makes sense.

Whilst I question the need for such extensive housing development over the whole of our local area, based on questionable data provided, a more balanced 'sharing' of development across the local towns and villages on smaller scales, should be welcomed. This proposal seems well balanced, providing not only housing, but enhanced access to and preservation of natural habitats and also a new modern educational facility to serve several different adjoining communities. If we have to endure such development expansion locally, this proposal seems to offer much 'compensation' in the way of welcome additional community resources, not just more housing!

St Fremund Way would be a through road to all the traffic going to the new houses and school, causing noise, pollution, detriment to health and danger.

Our children would be in danger at all times and would have to be confined within gardens.

Our peace and quiet would be non-existant 24 hours a day.
This is an assault on our health, safety and sanity.
moved here for the beautiful rural atmosphere, the road was not a through road, just a curve around the existing houses.
This plan does not take into consideration the welfare and safety of existing residents.

It would open our road as a through road to all the traffic going to the new houses and school, causing noise, pollution and danger to us all.
Our children would be in danger at all times and would have to be confined within our garden.
The pollution caused by that amount of traffic would damage our health.
Our peace and quiet would be non-existant 24 hours a day.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Could it be that the previous contributor wholly in support of this plan does not actually live in the immediate vicinity yet is strongly against all proposals for Kenilworth and Burton Green presumably because they affect him directly. A case of "not in my back yard". The application may seemingly address our objections but does not acknowledge local Whitnash residents' strong aversion to such overdevelopment. The prospect of a new school for all its desirability is perhaps overshadowing the negative implications of a huge housing estate also, of necessity, intrinsic in th plan - this is no win/win situation.

Testun llawn:

Might it be any coincidence that the previous contributor who is so wholly in favour of such a vast development here does not actually live in the immediate vicinity and yet is also so strongly against the two other possible options for Kenilworth and one for Burton Green which presumably would directly affect him and his neighbourhood. If so, clearly a case of "not in my back yard". The 45 page application may seemingly address the objections raised by those directly affected but it does not detract from the fact that, on the whole, local Whitnash residents do not wish to see their town subjected to overdevelopment on this scale. I would also add that the prospect of the building of a new school, for all its virtues and desirability, seems to have overshadowed the negative implications of the large number of houses also, of necessity, intrinsic in the plan.

Support building houses only up to Church Lane and not beyond. Building on 51.2 hectare would be massive requiring more facilities for children and adults recreational and play facilities.

It makes sense to use derelict building and sites lying vacant in and around the town rather than the green fields and agricultural land.

There are a lots of properties (re-furbished and old ) lying vacant in Leamington and Warwick area and the Council should consider using those before building new ones. To our knowledge, people do not like to buy 6' x 8' rooms with no storage what so ever.

Brown field sites should be considered first - the old Peugeot site/Coventry, Fords site/Leamington etc etc

There is no mention of enhancing the infant and junior school provision in the area. Whitnash has undergone major development in recent years with Warwick Gates estate. The road systems are overly congested already, particularly around the primary schools in the area, without adding another housing development. The plans mention links to public transport, useful for school children travelling to school but the majority of people use their own transport for commuting. I would rather see developments on disused sites, eg, Ford Foundry, land near Sainsbury's than on precious green space.
