Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Objects to proposed site at Warwickshire Exhibition Centre. The Fosse Way is a highly dangerous road which already experiences many accidents, it has no pavements, cycling is too dangerous. Nearest doctors surgery has no capacity for new patients. The local economy needs supporting, should not turn our backs on the £2million the exhibition centre contributes in terms of local employment and businesses. It is a historic site on the archaeological register. Site would spoil the landscape visually from all directions. Wildlife would be damaged and disturbed.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Objects to the site, the Fosse Way is an extremely dangerous road to have lorries and caravans going in and out of. There is no footpath from the site to Radford Semele so children would have to be driven to school. The site is in a beautiful valley. The exhibition centre creates wealth and employment to the local economy.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Objects to the site, the Fosse Way is dangerous for drivers and residents. The closure of Warwickshire Exhibition Centre would be disastorous for the business and local area and its employees. There is no convenient access to a GP surgery and public transport is limited. It is next to protected ancient woodland and cause damage to wildlife habitat. The site has historical value being on the archeological register. There is no safe pedestrian access. The closure of the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre which contributes £2 million to the local economy would be negative.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Objects to the site due to the following: It is located on an ancient roman road, the Fosse Way and on the archeological register. It is a high risk traffic route, which has been the subject of 12 serious accidents in the past three years. The site could not be integrated into the landscape without harming the character on the area as it is visible from all angles. There is no easy access to gp surgeries and schools. Proposals to build at Radford Semele and Sydenham will already put pressure on services. The bus stop is over grown and situated on the main road with no cycle ways or pavements. The proposed site may impact on local ecology and wildlife habitats, including protected species.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Objects to GT02. The site is located in a rural area and is visible from all approaches , it cannot be integrated into the landscape without harming the character of the area. It is located on the Fosse Way, 50m from a busy junction of A452 and B4455 identified as a high risk accident route. Will result in the closure of the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre and the loss of 40 jobs and £2 million to the local economy. Will not promote a peaceful and integrated co existence between the site and the local community. The bus stop is in a dangerous position on the grass verge, the road into the village has no lighting or pavement. The nearest doctors surgery is 3 miles away making car usage essential. The local school is close to capacity and the proposed homes in Radford SEmele will increase pressure.

Objects on the following grounds: The Fosse Way is a high risk travel route with more than 12 accidents in the last three years. Site is only 50m from the junction with A425. The bus stop is located on an overgrown verge and the road does not have any cycleways or pavements making car usage essential. The site is on the archaeological register and adjacent to protected woodland home to protected species Pipistrelle bats and Great Crested Newts. Doctors surgeries and schools are already being put under additional pressure with proposed housing at Radford Semele and Sydenham. Site could not be integrated into the landscape without affecting the rural character and will have asignificant impact on the valley approach into Leamington and Warwick. Will result in the closure of the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre with potential job losses and impact on the local economy.

Any kind of housing on this site adjacent to the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre would be totally inappropriate as it would ruin beautiful countryside destroying wildlife and result in a loss of employment within the exhibition centre and associated businesses as existing customers are likely to take their business elsewhere. Doctors, schools, nurseries and hospitals are already close to capacity for the existing community, how will more families be accomodated?

Will cause the closure of the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, resulting in job losses and affecting local businesses (B&Bs etc). The local school is already almost full to capacity, access to the school would be difficult as there is no public footpath and there is only one bus stop. The nearest GP surgery at Sydenham is already at capacity due to the recent influx in patients redirecting from Clarendon Avenue. Site will be visible from all approaches.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Roads at this junction are already acknowledged as an accident zone, this proposal will only exacerbate this. The site will be a blot on the landscape, when approaching from all directions, there is no way it can be sympathetically created to blend in with the natural environment. The cost of installing utilities will be great to the Council. Doctors, dentists and schools are not in close proximity. It will destroy flora and fauna unique to the area. May be an area of historical significance, what investigations will be made?

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Objects due to impact on the local economy, access to local amenities, travel, rural environment and cost. It is not right to destroy a thriving business like the Warwickshire Exibition Centre which has taken several years to build up and is still growing. Radford school is nearly full and will be under pressure from the additional 100 houses. The nearest doctors surgery is at or will have reached full capacity. Fosse Way is an extremely busy road and does not have a bus route or pavements. There wil be damage to wildlife and protected ancient woodland. There will be a cst to set this all up, who will pay? Will anyone be responsible for keeping the site tidy and the welfare of animals on site.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

- This site (if developed) will have a negative impact on the local economy. It will mean the closure of the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre and a loss of jobs there and in supporting businesses (bed and breakfasts and hotels locally).
- There are not enough schools and doctors surgeries having capacity to cope with extra demands.
- The site would cause highway problems and be dangerous due to the proximity of the busy/ heavily trafficked Fosse Way and Southam Roads.
- There would also be an adverse effect on this Medieval toll site.
- A G and T site here would also be damaging to the landscape / be visually intrusive.
- It may also have a detrimental impact on the Hotels/ B and B's as well as the Public House at Ufton.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The following issues have been submitted as reasons to discount this site for development as a G and T Site.
- The nearest GP surgey is 3.3 miles away and has no further capacity, the nearest surgery with capacity is 5 miles away with no direct bus link.
-The nearest primary school has limited capacity for extra pupils
-There is no footpath / pavement link to Radford Semele and the traffic on the local roads would make walking and cycling very dangerous. To compound this, the nearest bus stop is on an overgrown verge and is unsafe.
-The proposed site is on the junction of two main roads ( Southam Road and the Fosse Way and is subject to high speeds / volumes of traffic -therefore access would be dangerous)
- Regarding the Local economy there are concerns that this site may cause the demise of the Warwickshire Exhibition centre and would impact on other associated businesses such as B and B's and hotels / public houses in the area. The loss of associated jobs is a major consideration.
- The Gand T site would impact on the landscape and deter tourism.
-Considerable infrastructure would be required including road widening new access arrangements/ traffic control systems due to the proximity of the roundabout , Fosse Way and main Leamington / Southam Roads.
Wildlife and the landscape quality of this area would be damaged by this site (it would be impossible to mitigate for it).

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

- The nearest available doctors surgery is 5 miles away and schools similarly. All are at or near to capacity.
-The nearest supermarket is over 4 miles away so the site is far from accessible to services.
-The proposed site is near to two high - speed roads and would be unsafe for residents (particularly children)
The site would be on an important historic and archaeological area and occupy valuable arable land.
-A 15 pitch site would occupy 8000sq m of land and could not be integrated into the rural landscape without being highly visible (harming the entire area).
- There is no mains sewers or gas supply, the site would therefore require substantial non-mains facilities.
-The suggestion of working form the site would result in even larger more unsightly operations that would be harmful to the entire area.
-The site could cause the closure of the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, causing a loss of jobs here and with assocaited small businesses.
-The proposed site would be highly visible in the countryside. This would be detrimental to the areas outlook, reputation and visitors / tourism.
-If the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre were to close residents could face the problem of illegal entry and occupation of the centres large car parking area, thereby creating a far larger problem.
-The site would require many features such as lamp columns, pavements, bus stops and possible road widening that would result in the innapropriate urbanisation of this rural location.
-The site is close to valuable woodlands where there are protected species and established habitats.
