Road access relieving the mini-roundabout at Rugby Road/Windmill Hill is needed.

I object to the plan for 40 houses on the site opposite Willow Sheets Meadow. The Coventry Road has a history of accidents at both end crossroads. People drive too fast down this road having to avoid bikes and horses. It is not a road that can take even more traffic with no white lines or pavements. I notice several other sites were discounted because of lack of vehicular access and landscape impact which i believe also affects this site.

I object to this green belt land being used for development. Having chosen to live in Willow Sheets Meadow to raise my family, laying down roots over 20 years ago. I now find myself under threat of being fenced in by 2 housing developments and a HS2.
This not only erodes our green belt but also further stretches the local infrastructure and significantly changes the character of this area.

The proposed housing development will be immediately in front of our house at a time when HS2 is going to be built immediately behind. There is going to be absolute chaos for residents here. If planning permission is granted, the proposed houses will result in a further loss in the value of our homes. Coventry road is already a race track - with the vast majority of vehicles vastly exceeding the speed limit. The authorities have done nothing about it despite our warnings.

The land opposite Willow Sheet Meadow is not suitable for development due to:-
1 The impact on an area of high landscape value.
2 Protecting green belt status.
3 The scale of the development including option 1 is high relative to the existing built up area of Cubbington.
No requirement identified for additional housing needs in Cubbington.
Adverse impact on the infrastructure and community of Cubbington.
The Coventry Road has been recognised as a potential blackspot for traffic.

I object to the proposed development on site 2. Existing homes in this area are already to be radically compromised by the building of HS2, and the new development will further compromise the rights of existing residents to peacefully enjoy their homes. Additionally, the proposed development will remove a well used area for recreation and dog walking. Given Cubbington Woods are also set to be destroyed and this area removed, site 2 is even more important. The proposed development will fundamentally change the character of the immediate vicinity.

-Sites 1 and 2 comprise allotment land and open green fields which are designated as Green Belt and development would be the erosion of open countryside and the Green Belt.
-Sites 1 and 2 on the other hand would back onto the existing properties causing potential overlooking, loss of privacy and out look to the existing properties.
-Sites 1 and 2 have virtually no screening and any development will be seen from various vantage points around the site and from further afield.

The village is not in the Green Belt. The proposed site should be reduced in size to Location no 1 only, eliminating the projection northwards into countryside that site 2 would result in.

-Generally supportive of new housing provision.
-Site 2 has been taken from the Green Belt already.
-Provides the opportunity to extend to the field boundary thus reducing the requirement for the allotment garden (Site 1).

-Support preferred option 2 at Cubbington
-The village housing options shows that Options 1 and 2 are the most suitable location for housing. It meets the Parish Council's wish that any housing options should help to enhance the local area and the need to avoid over-development settlements.
-The grant of planning permission in January for 7 affordable dwellings on the Charity's land within Option 2 is confirmation of the District Council's view of the suitability of this location for the provision of new housing, albeit within the Local Plan as a rural exception site.
