Radford Semele Neighbourhood Plan - Regulation 16 Submission

ID sylw: 71810

Derbyniwyd: 11/07/2020

Ymatebydd: Mr G Wyatt

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

As a group these form a remnant of an old English village recorded in the Doomsday Book. The assets should be conserved as too many similar historical sites have been buried under concrete and their contribution to our heritage lost. Unfortunately many of the historical elements of the village have already been lost, so it is essential that the remaining ones (those listed) should be preserved.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Our village history and heritage should be protected at all costs. Surely they are what the village is all about and are the foundation stone of how and why Radford Semele came to be.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

In addition to listed buildings Radford Semele has a number of buildings which give the village its character and sense of structure. The buildings are important to the look and feel of the area and any changes to structure need to be sensitive to the surrounding area and buildings. I have been involved in the choice of these Non-designated Heritage assets and fully support the policy.

Derbyniwyd: 18/08/2020

Ymatebydd: Valerie Leigh-Hunt

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Much of the historic village of Radford Semele has been lost and replaced by modern development. Some of the older building in the village are protected by listing. Other unlisted buildings which contribute to the village’s identity should be retained. Some of these are identified in the Plan as Non-Designated Heritage Sites. A tight village envelope has been drawn which includes sites that have been allocated for more housing. Any further development, large scale or outside the village envelope should be rejected, as there has been a large increase in the village population in recent years.
