We need to avoid making the air pollution in Stratford any worse than it already is. New settlements options must be considered outside of Stratford to help with the air quality issue we already have.

This is good so far as it goes. But there is nothing in the plan to manage consequential growth in pollution from transport sources. In terms of local air quality this is a major contributor and yet the edge of town developments are the hardest to manage in terms of alternatives to car use.

We must avoid increasing air pollution in Stratford upon Avon where air quality is a concern and consider settlement options outside of and away from Stratford to relieve the air quality and associated public health issues.

The current AQMA are insufficient. I attach commissioned expert technical report of the air quality in Barford. The current poor air quality is due to the area being in a valley between the A429 and M40. The SWLP team should discuss this report with WDC environmental health and WCC public health who are fully aware of its contents.

Stratford Air quality is already a concern, particular in and around the Birmingham road area. Settlements made outside of the Stratford area should be considered to reduce the impact on the town.

A particular concern about air pollution due to (often stationary) traffic along Stratford's Birmingham road. As a regular pedestrian and family member of a cyclist, this is noticeable even with current pressures.

Increasing air pollution is a serious concern in Stratford, impacting public health and the environment. Rising traffic and development only worsen air quality, making it essential to find sustainable solutions. Creating new settlements outside of Stratford would help reduce congestion and pollution, improving air quality for residents. By directing growth away from already polluted areas, we can protect public health while meeting housing needs. Sustainable planning must prioritize air quality to ensure a healthier future for all.

The pollution from Lorries who transient through the area from the Vale of Evesham pollutes the area surround the A435 as they head for Redditch and the M5/M42 north. Increased population will increase this pollution. Although more cars will be electric, pollution for rubber tyres will still be a problem.
