This proposal is not clear enough as to how the aims will be achieved. In reducing pollution for example, all development must be required to give priority to low-carbon forms of transport, meaning adequate footpaths, cycleways and bus routes. Development should also be structured locally to minimise the amount of travel people need to do in cars to meet their everyday needs (e.g. children able to walk to school within 20 minutes).

No consideration is being given to the cutting down of so many trees and removal of green fields. So many green areas have been removed and trees chopped down, for HS2 construction. It is APPALLING!
And NOW, more and more houses are being built on green development sites. Trees are being chopped down too.
How can you say that you are building a healthy pollution free environment to live in? Green spaces are the basis of healthy air and also mental health.

The huge increased levels of air pollution from traffic if 6700 new homes are built at Wilmcote will not be in keeping with this policy as although there are train stations nearby, they are not suitable for development and are presently not a feasible transport choice as the routes are restricted. People moving into the area will be using cars.

The Bearley/Wilmcote site will cause more house hold waste, sewage pollution and road off into the local river. The topography of the land makes the site unviable for the site to get a sewer pipeline to the sewage works. A storm over flows will require and increased size of outfall under the railway line this is not viable as the levels are not suitable.

The houses are too densely populated in some sites creating light noise and car pollution.the ques of traffic already getting in and out of kenilworth at the jet garage are dreadful and cause traffic pollution.cars are backed up on Glasshouse Lane and pulling out from Farmwr ward Road is very difficult. We haven't got tbe road structure to support more cars through town

Efforts should focus on preventing further air pollution in Stratford, where air quality is already a concern, by exploring settlement options outside the town to help alleviate the issue.

Settlement options outside Stratford should be considered, as an increase of possibly 1400 extra cars on the already congested Birmingham Road, would be a real concern for the air quality due to extra pollution.

I agree. We should avoid increasing air pollution in Stratford where air quality is already a concern, and consider settlement options outside of Stratford to relieve these air quality issues.

Air quality in Stratford upon Avon is already a cause for concern especially during anticyclonic conditions. Development outside the town would help to avoid exacerbating this problem.

Re Sg18- and Stratford upon Avon we should reduce pollution not increase therefore a settlement further away would be better.

To address air quality concerns in Stratford, it's important to avoid increasing air pollution and explore settlement options outside of Stratford to alleviate the issues. In particular, traffic on Birmingham Road is at a saturation point

The proposal to build an additional c7000 houses in Bearley and Wilmcote would cause significant pollution due to construction and resultant increased traffic. Poor road infrastructure and an unappealing public transport offer will drive people to use cars, damaging the environment and with serious proven adverse consequences of or the health and wellbeing of local residents.

To tackle air quality issues in Stratford, a comprehensive strategy is needed. This involves promoting public transport, cycling, and walking, while reducing fossil fuel use. Additionally, considering settlement options beyond Stratford’s boundaries can lower population density, easing pressure on resources and infrastructure. This approach not only mitigates pollution but also enhances community health and sustainability. By developing eco-friendly communities with green spaces and sustainable infrastructure, Stratford can foster a balanced living environment. Environmental education and awareness campaigns can further empower residents to make conscious choices, setting a precedent for addressing air quality challenges and improving quality of life.
