Radford Semele Parish Council urges the District Councils to insist that all new builds install
rooftop PV generation so as to deliver the renewable energy requirements in the most cost
effective and environmentally sustainable way.
The criteria for the consideration of solar farms and wind farms should be amended so that
there is a greater emphasis on the consideration of visual and landscape harms, the
protection of productive agricultural land and the social and amenity value of open spaces
and footpaths.’
