Yes

An Integrated Transport Plan should be a key element of, and input to, the Local Plan. These combined need to be of sufficient detail to be used to safeguard infrastructure schemes. Key infrastructure such as transport should be financed and delivered in advance of the development to unlock the building of homes, as is done elsewhere in the UK. It is essential that both WCC as the transport authority and SDC/WDC commit to delivering the transport infrastructure at the outset, to avoid the issues that have plagued the Long Marston Garden Village, and to provide a transport framework to support the Local Plan through to 2050.

No mention has been given to the crucial Green Belt considerations and 5 purposes. Please include these priorities in any evaluation.

We believe that all infrastructure should be in place before development takes place. For instance, in our village fibre is not provided to a large estate, an omission that is serious. There are questions about water security and sewage disposal and these should be addressed before development is considered. Transport needs to be considered and ensured that sufficient is in place. The use of roads such as the A429 and increased pressure brought to bare upon it need to be considered as a whole not just looking at each development by itself.

I am repeating the same text for every question in protest at the unbelievably long-winded process you force on anyone wanting to make a comment. My comment is: As a Kenilworth resident I want to register my dismay at the amount of land that has been earmarked for new housing development. Kenilworth's major asset (the castle) is at risk of losing the various country walks on land adjacent to it. Please try to keep the green fields around the back and towards Chase Lane untouched. The infrastructure of the town is already under pressure - specifically I am concerned about medical facilities, water pressure and extra traffic (Kenilworth's station will be a long walk away from these proposed sites and there very few trains so increased car journeys are inevitable). I am appalled at how difficult it has been to make my point of view (as summarised above). The process is unnecessarily long-winded and impenetrable.

Strict rules need to be imposed on developers to ensure that infrastructure improvements are effective and which properly and fully meet the current and future needs. Developers do not care about legacy, they just want to build houses, sell them, make a profit and then move on, without a care for what they leave behind!

This suggestion of widening the motorways at j3 is yet again destroying wildlife habitat. It will not make any difference since if you build 6000 houses in the local area, there will be 6000 more cars on the road, thereby increasing the impact of traffic.

To tackle the climate emergency and create vibrant local communities, the focus must shift from large road projects to developing active travel options locally. Therefore there should be no infrastructure safeguarding for road projects.

There should be safeguarding of land for public transport provision. This should include space for Park and Ride schemes and direct bus-only routes into town centres. There should be a plan that directs through traffic away from the town centre of Stratford and the Clopton Bridge. The SWRR should be removed from this plan. Future road building should only take place when other alternatives have been assessed and exhausted, especially with regard to environmental issues.

My comment relates to what appears to be lacking in your current infrastructure safeguarding provision - The safeguarding of greenbelts around existing settlements and also safeguarding strategic wildlife corridors (existing and proposed).

Highway and railway infrastructure e.g. new link roads or railway stations, that partner development for the New Settlements or Broad Locations, should be safeguarded in the plan.
