The Birmingham Road (A4177) is already busy and dangerous, the whole road is an accident black spot, with some particularly dangerous bends.Thre are insufficient recreational facilities in the locality and no facilities for children which would potentially bring them into conflict with the busy road. A substantial increase in traffic would affect the safety of existing residents. There are instances of localised flooding that would be made worse. The Green belt should be defended as well as the prevailing wildlife / quality of the area. The tourist attraction of Hatton Lockscould be compromised / spoilt. Ther are not enough local srvices , schools , doctors etc to support this proposal.
