Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Land should not be used for housing as it’ll compromise environmental sustainability, agricultural productivity, and natural ecosystems. Additionally, excessive housing developments in this area will contribute to climate change through higher carbon emissions and water consumption. Preserving open spaces ensures ecological balance, flood control, and recreational areas for communities. Poorly planned housing will also strain infrastructure, leading to traffic congestion and resource depletion which is already an issue with JLR. Prioritising smart, sustainable land use helps maintain environmental health and long-term resilience for future generations.

The roads are too congested, the drainage is poor...flooding has occurred many times in the past but most importantly unless there is a guarantee of a re-instatement of the Railway Station and a significantly improved bus services (7 days a week)...this is a non starter

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

F2 is unsuitable for housing development and does not satisfy any of the "5 overarching principles" of the plan.
The surrounding roads are poor, the proposed area partly covers the flood plain of the River Itchen, public transport connectivity is poor, the local domestic water supply system is already at its limit and unreliable, the local primary schools are full, there are no local facilities.
Within the area, there is a well established dairy farm - what would happen to this?
As well as the river flood plain, the local roads are also subject to frequent flooding.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

No more housing plans around Bishops Itchington! The infrastructure can't handle more cars and more people, there's only 1 school and cannot provide enough places for all the children. The water pipes keep on bursting, with more house and more people this will happen more often. Traffic can be horrendous at rush hour, far too few shops, not enough parking!

It will significantly increase traffic around the area we live. We moved here for a small village community not to become part of a town! We moved out of Warwick/ Leamington for a quieter village life

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Development would extend over footpaths and bridleways, harming rural character of nearby villages (Bishop's Itchington, Depper's Bridge and Ladbroke) and harming access and enjoyment of this countryside.

Road access is poor, particularly for large vehicles, as this would have to be accessed by narrow roads that are already busy, dissuading local residents from cycling (Harbury road and B4451).

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This development will have a significant detrimental impact to biodiversity, heritage sites, rural character, the local community of Southam & BI and associated villages. There has already seen considerable house building in the area. The site lacks all the necessary infrastructure to support such a development. There is no integrated transport infrastructure, no railway station, dependancy upon motor vehicles. J12 has become increasingly busy as is the B4451 and associated roads, BI passing traffic often creates congestion and is not designed to handle the requirements from this development. Ancient wood Itchington Holt and is inhabitants will be severely impacted.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Access to both the A423 and M40 at junction 12 is appealing for this site, along with close proximity to Southam for community resources such as leisure, retail and healthcare services (GPs). A new railway station could be developed for Bishops Itchington to serve the current and proposed new communities.

This would encrouch too much on green area that is used by local villages currently for recreation walking, and cycling. It would be a strain on local villages with lack of shops, school places, doctors surgeries and lack of rural transport.

I think new settlements make sense as long as they dont merge into existing towns. this location seems appropriate to meet the needs of the area without just expanding leamington/stratford/warwick which are already struggling adn expensive. as long as appropriate amenities are also provided

Ymatebydd: Mr Andrew Waters

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The river Itchen regularly floods into the land at Deppers Bridge as it forms a small valley. Surface water management of this site would be critical to get right and the risk of polluting the river would be significant. Despite being adjacent to the railway there is no longer any nearby station. The area is solely served by the B4452 and would be totally inadequate. The extra traffic through the village would be a major safety issue and totally inappropriate with its existing traffic-calming measures. Ladbroke would suffer similar traffic issues for commuters accessing the A423.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The plan to build in this area will negatively impack on all the local infrastucture, with exemely large consequences. There will be an increase in noise polution, emmissions and the local area will be overwhelmed. Schools, Dr surgeries are already booked to the limit and not coping. I was born in a local village and belive that I have the right to live in a village, not a have a town built around me. Building on Brownfield sites would be prefererable as they are already derelict and need attention Building on farmland is unforgivable.

This development will have a significant detrimental impact to biodiversity heritage sites rural character, the local community of Southam and BI. There has already been considerable house building in this area. The site lacks all necessary infrastructure to support such a development. There is no railway and thus dependancy upon cars. This is not sustainable in this rural location as roads will be severely impacted as they are narrow country lanes.

This location is unsuitable for a large scale development due to its rural location. The absence of substantive transport links and the distance from critical amenities such as employment, retail and healthcare will significantly increase car journeys in the district and have a detrimental impact of neighbouring communities.
