The proposed development will provide houses to cover demand for the area. It will also provide new job opportunities and new settlements that will driven by strategic opportunities instead of land availability. This would remove congestion pressures from Stratford especially on the Birmingham road and pressure on existing infrastructure. The local roads will not cope with an increase in the type of traffic that would be accessing these developments, light pollution would be an issue for both wildlife and the community of Gaydon. It would engulf Gaydon to its detriment undermining its rural nature.

I strongly object to the proposed development off Lighthorne Road near Kineton. This plan violates NPPF policies on sustainable development (para 8), protecting rural landscapes (para 174), and overloading local infrastructure (para 104). The roads cannot support the increased traffic, and essential services will be overwhelmed. This scale of development destroys rural character and contradicts the council’s duty to promote balanced, dispersed growth. This is not a good idea to build a new settlement here. It is in a flood plain and with additional housing likely to overwhelm existing plumbing infrastructure and lead to more run off into existing villages of northern and Knightcote. There is no direct access via an A road. The only accessible road is the M40 which is already at max capacity from the new lighthorne development. There is no rail network as the rail company have stated they will not put a platform in. New settlement will impact the landscape environment of historical importance
