We agree that E1 proposal is a more suitable location for large scale additional housing and it is not within green belt, unlike the BW proposal which is entirely within green belt.
This area has already got large scale development of housing in progress as part of a ‘new town’. If more houses do need to be built in a large number, this area would make more sense than some of the other proposals.

With the right provision of infrastructure this location would be preferable. As per previous comments, new settlements present opportunity for strategic design rather than haphazardly adding to congestion, overcrowding, negatively impacting existing settlements and its infrastructure that is more difficult to improve. Much less impact overall in terms of urban sprawl and the negative impact of the unique settings/character of existing areas. Development should be strategic and be best for all - not just because it would be of financial benefit to the few. For a new settlement, the number of dwellings required can be built with room for the necessary infrastructure to be provided alongside.

I agree with the New Settlements proposal as this would then mean there is the opportunity to offer better facilities for the new build rather than putting pressure on the existing infrastructure which is already stretched - doctors, dentists, schools, local shops. I feel the new settlement near Warwick Gates has been set up well with facilities and Long Marston Airfield has space to develop and also potential good links with the A46 without increasing congestion in Stratford Town centre at commuting times.

A river crossing could be built across the shortest section of the flood plain which would link up with the A46 with access to good roads and employment opportunities in Leamington, Coventry, Redditch.
