Representation Summary:

Comments on Chapter 11 overall

There’s a lot of policies that seem to say the same thing but use different words. Is it possible to rationalise?
In light of the new NPPF and the government’s drive to build will some of these be seen as too restrictive during inspection?

Representation Summary:

Reserve judgement

Unless major developments are required to have a full Landscape Visual Impact Assessment this is surely toothless

Representation ID: 101882

Received: 07/03/2025

Respondent: Bishop's Tachbrook Parish Council

Representation Summary:

Object
Potential blocking tactic. We would support a study to identify particularly high quality areas that are considered suitable for designation as a Special Landscape Area and then assess whether this is legitimate within the revised NPPF

Do you agree with the approach laid out in Policy Direction 43e Allotments, Orchards and Community Gardens?

Representation ID: 101889

Received: 07/03/2025

Respondent: Bishop's Tachbrook Parish Council

Representation Summary:

Agree with reservations

Orchards need careful maintenance to flourish. Who sets up, organises, pays for and monitors this work? A real danger of doing something that sounds nice but doesn’t work in practice

Do you agree with the approach laid out in Draft Policy Direction 43d-Urban Parks and Play Areas?

Representation ID: 101897

Received: 07/03/2025

Respondent: Bishop's Tachbrook Parish Council

Representation Summary:

Strongly agree
Really important that these should be onsite. The concept of MUGAs really important

The types of paths used should be fit for purpose and not loose gravel which washes away. Otherwise the urban parks and play areas are inaccessible.

See Warwick Gates paths which were recently replaced. Mallory Grange paths which are washing away and inaccessible for pushchairs/wheelchairs. Oakley Meadow paths which are washing away and inaccessible for pushchairs/wheelchairs.

Do you agree with the approach laid out in Draft Policy Direction 43c- Open Spaces?

Representation ID: 101900

Received: 07/03/2025

Respondent: Bishop's Tachbrook Parish Council

Representation Summary:

Strongly agree

It is vitally important that open spaces will be provided in the first instance onsite within a development.

To echo our comments in 11.8.a, we note that Bishop’s Tachbrook Country Park and the desire, noted in the ‘made’ BTNDP to expand it to provide a buffer zone between Heathcote and BT village does not figure info the maps or descriptions in Section 4 of this draft plan. This is of utmost importance to the Parish Council.

Representation ID: 101902

Received: 07/03/2025

Respondent: Bishop's Tachbrook Parish Council

Representation Summary:

We welcome green spaces identified in NPs continuing to have protection.

However we note that Bishop’s Tachbrook Country Park and the desire, noted in the ‘made’ BTNDP to expand it to provide a buffer zone between Heathcote and BT village does not figure in the maps or descriptions in Section 4 of this draft plan. This is of utmost importance to the Parish Council.
