Land should not be safeguarded unless there is shown to be a need demonstrable need. This would suggest a lack of confidence in the figures being used to support the demand. Please refer to "Local Plan Notes" document . No green belt land should be removed without a detailed justification of the need because once it is removed it cannot be put back

The existence of HS2 should not be considered "very special circumstances" . The degree of development considered appropriate for the site in view of the listed landscape and buildings was defined in outline by the original masterplan . The impact of HS2 on the openness of the greenbelt should be taken into consideration if any changes to the Masterplan are proposed.

Accommodating Coventrys housing overspill results in lack of consistency in the percentages of affordable housing applied in Coventry is 28% . WDC will be forced to accommodate 40%+ but again figures are not accurate

Directing the housing to the South of Coventry does not consider Coventry as part of the wider region and there has been no assessment to look at other locations which may be more appropriate given Coventry now being part of the West Midlands Combined authority. This policy more likely reflects Coventry City Councils ownership of the land and their need to raise funds. This is not to the benefit of the residents of WDC

The proposals for sites at Bericote/Milverton islands on the A452 is not acceptable as this is a very narrow area of greenbelt which should be protected.
