Change Reading to "Crime and Disorder", or include other emergency services such as fire and rescue and ambulance service. Presentation of social failure not positive in an otherwise structured programme for which members and officers of the Council are to be congratulated.

Potential crime areas should be considered as a priority when considering any development. Prevention rather than cure. This is particularly important when proposals are to put large proportions of affordable housing in concentrated areas.

We wish to keep Whitnash a safe place in which to live. More houses (social) could = more crime.

13a Allotments within the district are becoming more and more the victims of vandalism and mindless damage to plots and crops through planned/focussed stealing of valuable and important equipment, while damaging the sheds where the tools, lawn mowers, rotivators are kept. Allotments on main roads and edges of estates are particularly vulnerable.
