Potential Settlement Question BW

ID sylw: 105253

Derbyniwyd: 26/02/2025

Ymatebydd: Stratford upon Avon District Council

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I object to the proposed development at Bearley and Wilmcote for several planning reasons that contravene local and national planning policies. It would significantly harm the heritage assets of Mary Arden’s House, negatively affect the landscape character, and lead to loss of Green Belt. Existing flood issues in Bearley would worsen, increasing water problems. Additionally, the proposal would greatly increase vehicle movements on the A3400 without necessary road improvements, and the infrequent rail service would not effectively serve residents. Overall, the development lacks design and distinctiveness.

University of Warwick Wellesbourne Campus – the masterplan for this site will play a key role in the economic development of South Warwickshire bringing high-tech and innovative employment to the area. Careful traffic management required to avoid Hampton Lucy and Charlecote becoming rat-runs. All entrance and exit access has to be off A429. – SUPPORT

Do you agree with the approach laid out in Draft Policy D: Large Scale Renewable Energy Generation and Storage?

ID sylw: 105257

Derbyniwyd: 26/02/2025

Ymatebydd: Stratford upon Avon District Council

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Renewable Energy Generation
Support the principle of renewable generation and storage but the development of solar farms must be spread across the whole of South Warwickshire and not concentrated in specific areas creating a cumulative factor and must not result in significant adverse impacts on the local environment, including landscape character and flooding issues.
Support the proposals for increased community benefits in terms of either profit sharing or proportion of community ownership or deliver local, social and community benefits.
Support the principle of wind energy and energy storage. although this part of Warwickshire is not that windy!
