This is an unrealistic ambition without finacial support for residents through grants or loans. The risk here is that old building just stay old and inefficient - people will need support if development to an existing building means that the new and existing infrastructure is to be assessed for compliance to new more onerous energy efficiency standards.

"Support sustainability initiatives for heritage assets to the extent REASONABLY practicable without undermining the significance of the heritage asset. Sustainability measures within heritage assets will consider the provisions of the 'Reducing Energy Consumption in Existing Buildings policy."
This statment should include the word 'reasonably' as shown in capitals.

This policy should also inlcude the protection of Green Spaces and Commons embedded in conservation areas and villages more generally.

New settlement proposal E1 should not go ahead if this policy is adopted. There is now way that this development in the middle of no wehere can be considered as sustainable. Everyone drives in the their cars to everywhere !! we know this we live there !!

No further development should take place South of the River Avon given the lack of adequate Road, Rail or Public transport.

Cars and personal trasports options are the only ones that are available to most people living in South Warwickshire and nothing in this plan suggests that this will chnage - there are too many bland platitudes and well meaning words that will not achive the policy objective without major financial investiment.

The south warwickshire lorry routes plan is critical and should be maintained. There are a substantial number of roads that cannot take large lorries and have restrictions in place. In additon, many of the river avon bridge crossings, many of which are listed buildings, have vehicle weight limits on them. There is significant non compliance already regarding these weight limits and fewer controls will result in significant damage to theses heritage assets.
