More could be included in the policy to positively support the introduction of new technologies that make heritage properties more sustainable to heat and maintain. These buildings are very difficult and costly to heat and if new technologies are actively resisted, as suggested by this policy, then ultimately these buildings will be used less and be at risk, which would defeat the ultimate aim of the policy.

I am particularly concerned with the suggestion of sites in the immediate vicinity of Burton Dassett Country Park. The outlook from the park is already marked by light pollution from the recent motorway junction development. Adding another settlement (G1) to that mix would have a catastrophic effect on not only the character of this historic landscape but also the natural environment. Recent inundation flooding in the area would need to be addressed ( actions which would undoubtedly cause yet more damage to the landscape).

Agree in principle with the draft but you choose to blot the landscape of one of the districts historic towns with Strategic Growth SG23. Preservation of the historic town is a necessity in a country that will over time consume and swallow up these small towns. Promote infill in the surrounding areas / villages / hamlets to accommodate the necessary increase whilst providing people a choice of where to live. It is not all about the 20 minute neighbourhood.

Historic sites and heritage and vital for any town non more so than Stratfor upon Avon for the well being of residents and visitors alike. It is vital for the local community and local economy. It must not be diminished or encroached upon in such sites as the Clopton Corner part of SQ18. Once we have lost any such asset it is lost forever and future generations will ask why those in charge allowed it to happen?

Stratford-upon-Avon is an historic town for multiple reasons. It's unique location within the country, it's world renowned reputation and of course it's historical significance within literature. Creating another overcrowded area that cannot sustain itself is short sided, when we should be looking to preserve out heritage and ecology.
