It is important to make it clear that these are the strategic PLANNING objectives of the Council.
Not to do so excludes the serrvice that MAINTAIN the health etc of the environment, such as the traditional Environmental Health services - the foundation on which local government was established.

New development must take account of the essential need to protect and enhance the environment, avoiding any incursion into the Green Belt.

I particularly agree with points 12 and 13 and think these should take higher priority when new developments are considered. In particular, green belt land should not be built upon.

The environment is not being protected. There will be too much destruction of the few green areas left and the strategic aims are totally "pie in the sky".

I agree with Green Belt and rural protection but what you are proposing is to destroy that if you build on north and south of Harbury Lane.

Essential that green belt to north of leamington is protected to prevent merger of coventry/kenilworth/leamington

Strategic Objective 6 should be amended to include reference to meeting current and future housing and care needs, as the provision of specialist housing and care facilities will work towards a number of these objectives. A variety of options may include support for people wishing to continue living within their own home, extra care housing, sheltered housing, residential care homes and continuing care retirement communities. Recognition of the contribution these make to each of the headings in this section is particularly important given the high proportion of 'older people' in the District and the projected increase in this particular group.

The tourism trade will be lost if more houses are built land will be lost. There are enough sports facilities in the area, some are closing because of lack of support.

This strategy will not be met if the countryside is eaten up with development and there is more traffic and pollution.

Except point 11 - Travellers - if provided with land, council tax should be applicable to them.

This seems to be against your preferred option. development where you've suggested would do very little to tackle the points outlined here. Especially tackling crime and anti-social behavior. Unless you are only allowing middle and upper class families to live on the proposed estates with no criminal records allowed. What about the 4600 council houses you also need to build in these areas as part of the quota? How are you going to stop the crime there? I'm not saying all people on council estates are criminals but there is usually higher levels of crime from a few families.

Great care for point 11 in siting land for Gypsies and Travellers due to their lifestyle and different values (as shown in Kenilworth).
