It may be suitable to add an objective to ensure that development is carried out in a sustainable manner. There should be a preference for redeveloping previously developed land in the first instance, including a full assessment of the potential use of sites allocated in the adopted Local Plan.
North Leamington School can contribute towards the supply of available housing land. This would best be achieved by amending the MDS boundary and to provide specific support for housing development.

Supports the strategic objectives.
Re: objectives 1, 2 and 3, site allocations must have regard to the SFRA. Use of previously developed land should be a priority. Contaminated sites must be remediated in accordance with PPS23.
Development must not encroach onto the flood zone. Re: objective 11, gypsy and traveller sites must be within Flood Zone 1. If located in rural areas, foul drainage provision must be investigated.
Supports objectives 13 & 15, Core Strategy should include policies directing all new development away from flood zones 2 and 3; a requirement for Surface Water Management Plans and for development to recognise the aims of WFD. All development in areas of flood risk should be sequentially tested and comply with PPS25. Supports Objective 17.

Again the Strategy Objectives are a proper aim, but as far as set out in our general response we have grave doubts regarding the effects on Kenilworth.

In general ,I understand the need ,but the council has failed to see the likely affect of condensed housing on the countryside. This favours big housing companies with no thought of the people who live locally
