And applaud that the green belt land North of Leamington is not regarded as appropriate for housing development. All comments in this section are subject to proper infrastructure being developed to met the needs of expanded communities (health, education, transportation, open spaces and allotments)

Coventry airport is for sale and should take more of Warwickshire's allocation.
North Leamington school has undergone huge development and old school is for sale - not included in SHLAA. Why? is in green belt but so is Thickthorn and this is proposed development. Should be developed before anything else as a previously developed site with links to A46 and in part of town with easy access.
Providing housing stock in north Leamington will mean traffic travels along A46 rather than through town.
Locate housing aliong A46 corridor toward Warwick Parkway, north of Leamington and towards Coventry where people are more likely to use J15 which is designed to cope.
Warwick and Leamington or around Kenilworth or elsewhere in the district other than on brownfield sites.
Even though don't agree more housing needed it is time that other areas, north of the town along A46 and villages, play their part and allow organic growth once brownfield sites utilised and only if still a need.
Empty plots on existing business parks which could be built upon without taking up more green field developments. Do not make this area appealing to outside businesses at present.
Previous consultation public support was for south of Coventry, Finham, south of Coventry, Baginton, south of Coventry, Kirby Corner and east of Stratford Road,
Re-think options and look at regeneration possibilities in the towns to bring forward brownfield sites and challenge predicted numbers for growth.

Object to sites south of Warwick, Leamington and Whitnash:
M40 plays a role in choosing where to build but north Leamington could just as easily take a large number of houses with improved A46 and M45 access. It is also closer to Coventry where people may seek work. Have other areas truly been considered or are south Leamington options just easier?
Kenilworth should be considered for more housing now that it is to have a railway station. Has this been taken into account?

You say most support came for the 3 areas nearest Coventry. Yet I'm sure most people asked lived in Leamington so it's not surprising!
I know many residents affected by the potential Finham/King's Hill development won't have been consulted in the early stages.

Deeply concerned that brownfield sites in Coventry and Warwickshire could remain unused whilst unsustainable development goes ahead leading to raft of new developments, such as southern relief road, about which we are not being consulted.

Ansty would have been far more suitable.
Safest plan is to put new residents into established communities with 25 dwellings per local area, not altogether in isolated area.
irregular boulder.
Most obvious area to develop is west of A46 from junction to Warwick, down to the junction with M40. Affords good transport links (road and rail) but close enough to Warwick to feel attached to established centre and create sense of belonging.
Should be more rural expansion to create housing for rural workers where previous accommodation is either too expensive or not available.

Small development over larger number of sites across district will answer problem and be more sympathetic to beautiful county.
Want Bishops Tachbrook to remain village and not become suburb of Leamington that leads to motorway. Small amount of new housing in the village needed for younger people. All villages across the district would probably feel the same - would add up to considerable number. Add those to brownfield sites available and would solve problem.

Existing Warwick Gates employment land - gallaghers have failed to develop this as employment land. Is it not economically viable for them to develop this now - is that the reason you have not included it as other sites are 'easier' to develop?
Land north of milverton - this has good links to the A46 and would not create congestion in Leamington
All the land on the SHLAA that is available. If you spread out the development across all of these land areas, you would not need to put all the housing in one place.

No you have not identified all the possible options. North Leamington School is up for sale and you would have known this when conducting the SHLAA. There are a number of brown field sites that are not identified in your list; these should be identified first before green field sites are used.

The land around Warwick Parkway would be more suitable due to the existing M40 / M42 road network, and the rail network which is already in place enabling ease of access for commuting.

Lodfe Farm 30ha could provide 800 homes
Kings lane, Finham could provide at least 2000 houses towards WDC total
Stoneleigh Business Park and Baginton Airport - big prizes for mixed employment/recreational / housing.
